Easy Blended Background with Embossed Sentiment

Blended Background with Embossed Sentiment

One of the easiest backgrounds to create is a blended background. You can do this with many different kinds of inks, but one of the best is Tom Holz's Distress Oxide Inks. They blend so naturally and easily.

This card is  quick and simple to make, but it has some key elements that kick it up a notch. The rainbow embossed background is one of them. Using the three primary colors (red, yellow, and blue), you can create orange and green, and you have a rainbow with only three colors!

Using the giant "hello" die-cut makes creating the card very easy. It is written in a beautiful font and covers the entire card.

And don't forget about the embossed sentiment. Looks like black embossing powder, right? It isn't! Just use clear embossing powder over any color for instant pop!

Blended Background Card

Here is another card I made using the same technique, but for this card, I blended the card base. Then I die cut the white layer and adhered it to the base with some foam dimensionals.
