Easy Birthday Card Made With Lovely You Bundle

An easy Happy Birthday card created with the Lovely You bundle from Stampin' Up

Look carefully at the flowered paper on this easy Happy Birthday card. Isn’t it beautiful? You can make your own patterned paper by using the stamps in the Lovely You stamp set!

We should also talk about the impressive punch I used to punch out the sentiment. With the Lovely Label Pick A Punch, you can get different designs with the same punch. It’s like having six punches in one!

I rarely use two stamp sets to create a card, but I needed an easy birthday card, so I pulled out the Many Mates stamp set for the sentiment.

Easy Birthday Card Measurements

  • Very Vanilla Cardstock – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″
  • Blushing Bride Cardstock – 5-1/4″ x 4″
  • Mambo Melon Cardstock – 5″ x 3-3/4″
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock – 4″ x 3″
  • Scrap pieces of Blushing Bride and Mambo Melon

Card Tutorial

Using the measurements above, cut all of the cardstock.
Use Blushing Bride, Mambo Melon, and Garden Green inks to stamp flowers and leaves on the 4″ x 3″ piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock.

Use the 1″ x 2-1/4″ piece of Blushing Bride to heat emboss with gold embossing powder the Happy Birthday from the Many Mates stamp set.

Take the Tailored Tag punch and punch out the 4″ x 4″ piece of Melon Mambo paper. Cut the embossed piece of Blushing Bride with the Lovely Lable Pick A Punch.

Now that you have all the pieces ready, let’s put it all together!
Adhere the Blushing Bride Cardstock to the Very Vanilla base with Stampin’ Seal. Attach Melon Mambo to the Blushing Bride with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere the piece of patterned Very Vanilla that you created to the Mambo Melon with Stampin’ Seal.

The Tailored Tag punch piece is attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the Happy Birthday goes on top of that with Stampin’ Seal as shown in the photo.

Bling it Up!

I used some metallic pearls to add some sparkle and shine to the card. I put them in the flowers and on both sides of the sentiment to anchor it.

Here is another card I created using the same “recipe”. I used Night of Navy, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, and Whisper White cardstock on this one.

The Happy Birthday is heat embossed with white embossing powder.
